For many, Andalusia represents all that is typically Spanish: from bullfighting to flamenco, from whitewashed hill villages to the Costa del Sol, from extraordinary formations in national parks to life in vibrant historical cities…  whatever your interests, Andalusia will enthral you.  In fact, no matter how long you spend in Andalusia, you are sure to agree that it wasn’t enough.

The cities and towns of Andalusia overflow with unique architecture, music, cuisine, culture and history. Legendary places like Seville, Cordoba, Malaga, Granada, Ronda, Jerez de la Frontera and Cadiz each merit a full-day visit.

For a change of pace, head to Donana National Park or Dehesas of Pedroches or the Alpujarras or any of the other magnificent areas of natural beauty.

In addition to the 6 Andalusian UNESCO World Heritage sites, flamenco, which originated in Andalusia, is  a UNESCO designated ‘Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity’.  A visit to Andalusia is not complete without an evening of flamenco music and dance… and, if you’re really lucky, a private flamenco lesson.
