My husband and I have always been independent travelers and never used a travel agent. As we started to research our trip to Spain, we were struggling because there was so much we wanted to see and we had such limited time to spend trying to figure it all out.
As we were trying to plan, I read a review on a travel forum which mentioned SpainTop. I called their US number and reached Antonio right away. In his perfect English, he asked me and my husband a series of questions. He picked up right away on the way we liked to travel, ideas of what we might enjoy, and our general budget for our trip.
Antonio planned out a dream itinerary for us! We saw way more than we ever thought possible. His arrangements were flawless - drivers met us promptly and were courteous and informative. The cars were all comfortable and clean and provided a great spot for our luggage as we toured. The tour guides were also prompt and excellent! We learneId so much and were able to move at our pace. We were given clear instructions on where to meet so the connections were easy. The hotels that Antonio booked for us were excellent choices and always located in a fantastic location for us to venture out on our own to explore.

Jose in Lisbon was great he was knowledgeable about the area, was courteous and a great driver. The half day tour of Lisbon was great and a fun way to see the whole city without trying to walk it. Our stops were prefect. The tour to Sintra was great, fascinating place and Jose was great answering all our questions.
Pepa was a wonderful guide in Madrid, the royal place was incredible. She was fun to talk to as well and really passionate about the art and history of Madrid.
David was a fun guide for the tapas tour. He and I talked about futbol and his time in the States. He lived not too far from us in Virginia. He showed us 3 great places that we would have not otherwise seen. You encouraged me to keep the tapas tour on the itinerary and we are so glad you did, probably our favourite tour. Thank you.
Natalie in Toledo was great, she was fun and showed us a great time and some special underground places that not many people get to see. Javier, our driver was great. The tour of the winery was great and Marie was a lovely guide and the wines were amazing. We are trying to find them in the States but may have to travel to New York, which is not too far.
Our guide in Barcelona was also great, Roger. He was so knowledgeable about everything Gaudi.
As I mentioned before all the hotels were incredible and each one sent a complementary bottle of champagne to the room upon our arrival that was a great touch, thanks to you.

Well the trip to Spain went off without a hitch, thanks to you! It was first class all the way. The hotels were marvellous. And the guides in Granada and Barcelona were intelligent and informative.
The trip organization by this Spain travel agency was excellent. All the hotels were in the city center with an easy walk to the heart of the city. The train reservations and tickets were all done before I left.
This Spain tour company did a fantastic job to make our dream trip perfect. We gave them our travel budget, told them where we would like to go, and they did all of the planning. Our drivers and tour guides were always on time and very knowledgable. The hotel accommodations were better than we would have found on our own. Only one time did we end up in a location that we had not intended to be in. We called the 24 hour phone number, and they immediately fixed the situation.
We had very high expectations and they were exceeded at every level. Our agent at this Portugal travel company did an outstanding job. The hotels were fabulous and we were greeted and treated with care. The itinerary proved outstanding. The drivers, especially the one in Lisbon, was wonderful. He was always on time, made changes to shift stops around to make the history more evolutionary and he was so knowledgeable about the history and included other very interesting facts. He made the vacation exceptional.
Our guide in Porto was also very knowledgeable and the visits to the various locations very informative.

I had 2 tour guides who made my trip top notch. My first tour guide was in Toledo. Born and raised there, he added the perfect amount of his personal experience to help us appreciate this beautiful little city just a tad more. It's lovely and it's one of my most fondest memories of the trip. If you're going to see Toledo, go with him.
Our second guide gave us a tapas tour in Madrid. This made my eyes fill with joy. He is a doll! He's got great energy and really wants to make it a personalized experience. I don't know how he did it, but everything we ate was as if it was tailored to my palate. I couldn't recommend him enough.

Our tour guides & drivers were always on time, always personable and always professional. We enjoyed spending time with all of them. We had a wonderful trip to Portugal. Our agent was extremely responsive and designed an itinerary based on our interests and desires. We were able to experience many different sides of Portugal and we loved them all. The company is located in Madrid but they have many sources in Portugal and they put together a truly enjoyable trip for us.
It was a joy to deal with this travel agency. Nothing was left to chance and every service met the highest professional standards. The drivers were careful and caring. All the tour guides were completely bilingual and were dedicated to making each experience educational and enjoyable. The hotels were of superior quality and the personnel again dedicated to making the experience comfortable and most pleasant. Our agent monitored our stay to ensure that everything was going well. We knew we were supported every step of the way and because of the careful planning did not have any inconveniences. We shall travel again with this company.
Everyday was an adventure. The pace was excellent and the entire trip was memorable. The Alpujarras all day excursion in the Sierra Nevada was spectacular. The private tour of the Alhambra was also unforgettable. The tapas tour provided an opportunity to really get into Spanish customs in Madrid. We enjoyed every single day and the people we met are fine ambassadors of Spain.
My husband and I travelled to Spain at the beginning of September 2016 for our honeymoon, after planning the trip with this agent several months earlier. Every step of the planning process and the trip itself was effortless and exceptional. Our special interests, preferences and requests were accommodated by our travel agency resulting in a trip that exceeded our expectations. As I have always enjoyed the trip planning process and can't resist spending time looking at hotel reviews, any suggestions I made to our agent about alternate accommodations, changes in itineraries or specific activity requests were quickly encompassed into revised plans. Because my husband loves to drive, plans were changed from flights and train travel within Spain to arranging for our rental of an Audi which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. We spent 3 weeks travelling throughout Spain including Barcelona and the Catalan, San Sebastián and the Basque Country, Rioja and the wine regions, and travelling south to Bilbao, Burgos, Madrid, Seville, Toledo, Ronda and Granada. We covered a lot of territory but along the way enjoyed a day of canyoning in Asturias, a day of biking in the foothills near Seville, walking tours of each city, tours of the Guggenheim and the Alhambra, a cava tour, and wine and tapas tours in San Sebastián and Madrid, all of which were expertly arranged by our travel agency. We loved Spain and truly appreciated our agent's experience and expertise which was directly reflected in the fabulous time we had in this wonderful country. I would heartily recommend this agency to anyone looking to book a trip to Spain.
We had a truly amazing family vacation. Our agent arranged every aspect of the trip and our expectations were consistently exceeded.
Based on one phone conversation and several back and forths over email, our agent created a detailed twelve day itinerary that covered the cities of Madrid, Toledo, Seville, Ronda, Granada and Barcelona. We opted for high-speed rail between Madrid and Seville and flew between Granada and Barcelona. All of our private tours and transportation were handled by luxurious private vans that greeted us upon arrival and assisted with ours bags.

First, I must tell you that everything was absolutely wonderful, above expectations and we very much appreciated your willingness to accommodate my husband's mobility issues which we did not anticipate when booking. All three hotels were excellent; I think my favourite was the Britania in Lisbon. The Convento de Espineiro was quite nice and it was unfortunate that we did not have more time to spend there. It was a bit far from the centre of Evora and we were taken first to the hotel and had to take a taxi back to the city to do some sightseeing. Some of the sites were closed for restoration but we did get a good flavour of the town and we had a good lunch. Again, another few hours there would have been ideal. The restaurant at the hotel was superb. Thank you for booking that for us.
The hotel Atlantico in Madrid was also very nice but on quite a busy street. Although in a good location for both walking and access to the metro, I would not book again on such a busy avenue. Again, we should have stayed another day in Madrid to see more of Madrid.
All of the staff at each of the hotels were very friendly and accommodating and helpful (except for one fellow at the Atlantico who I called El Gordo); he was always grumpy. Even the other staff agreed!
The day trips to Segovia and Toledo were excellent. The trip to Toledo was spoiled only by the rain but we enjoyed it nonetheless.
All in all, we could not have been more pleased with the arrangements. When I have had a chance to look through our photos, I will send a few for you to see us and enjoy!

Me encantó viajar por primera vez con Spaintop, principalmente porque eran dos lugares que tenía muchas ganas de visitar, pero no me había informado directamente sobre el mejor hotel para alojarme, los mejores tours para hacer y solo quedaban unos días . ¡Así que SpainTOP me dio todos los consejos! Me encantaron los hoteles de Granada y Sevilla y fui muy bien recibido en el aeropuerto.
La guía de Granada fue una de las mejores guías que he tenido la experiencia de tener en mi vida, ¡una enciclopedia! Estuvo todo el día conmigo, me explicó todo, me hizo compañía. ¡Era muy guay! Granada es una ciudad a la que volvería una y otra vez.
Me encantó que sugirieran tomar el tren de Granada a Sevilla, porque es un viaje hermoso. También puedes ir en coche, pero me pareció perfecta su recomendación de ir en tren. En Sevilla el hotel era un sueño, fueron 3 noches maravillosas!
Recomiendo encarecidamente SpainTOP para viajar, porque la verdad es que no tenía nada planeado, lo organizaron todo, dieron consejos de restaurantes, etc. Estoy muy contento, se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo y no veo la hora de volver a viajar con ellos!

Our latest adventure to Barcelona, Lisbon and southern Spain for six 'older' Australians was extremely well organised by Antonio from SpainTop. Antonio listened to my requirements and interpreted them better than I could have imagined. Everything was amazing. I was sometimes at a loss for words. The hotels selected were just right for us, being very central, and where there were no lifts we were on the ground floor, so thank you for that. In fact, the hotels themselves were unique, and included a magnificent breakfast each day. The local guides were extremely knowledgeable, and very personable; Caesar in Barcelona even accompanying us to lunch to smooth our first tapas experience. We had dinner opposite the Alhambra in Granada, and opposite the Royal Palace in Madrid. Magic! Transport in all the forms we utilised was well organised, with very clean, comfortable vans and professional drivers, making major movement hassle free for a group of 6. I am more than happy to recommend Antonio, and SpainTop, to anyone wanting a different, and well organised trip. Marie G + 5 Australian friends
