The islands of Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera share a well-deserved reputation for fabulous Mediterranean climate and incredible beaches. Likewise, all offer an extraordinary variety of water sports ranging from fishing to diving to windsurfing. There is no end to the choices of watercraft rental from basic fishing boat to lavish fully crewed yacht.
Opportunities for walking, hiking or cycling abound. It’s easy to fill a day exploring caves and historical sites. In cities and towns there is endless shopping, dining, fiestas and people watching.
Yet, each island boasts a distinct personality. Ibiza, The Party Island, is noted for its night life and glamour. Menorca, The Rural Island, with a UNESCO designated Biosphere Reserve and whitewashed villages separated by endless dry-stone walls, is much more laid back. Majorca, located between Ibiza and Menorca, is the Compromise island, and offers some of each, but is especially noted for its postcard-perfect coastal scenery. Formentera, The Hippy Island, where 70% of the land is protected from development, is quite different. Here you will find a sublime retreat of white powder beaches, nighttime noise restrictions, dramatic sunsets, and a healthy ‘live and let live’ ambience.
